Ties That Bind by Cindy Woodsmall

 

I found this book to be a slow read, the characters were interesting but the story line was scattered and confusing.I just had hard time trying to read it. It went from one thing to another . The story doesn't keep you interested in reading it.I found myself putting it down for long periods of time ,I just couldn't get into it.

The Winnowing Season by Cindy Woodsmall is the second book in the Amish Vine and Orchards trilogy, and it isn't necessary to read the first book to enjoy this one. Ms. Woodsmall provided enough information to allow me not only to connect with the characters but to understand the issues they were facing as well.I always enjoy reading Amish fiction that allows me to feel like I become part of the story and that's how I felt while reading the Winnowing Season. I look forward to going back and reading the first book.
